Teamwork involves groups or teams working together at team activities or team games towards a common goal or objective. The team games are fun, sometimes testing but enjoyable and can be organised to meet the allocated time scheduled within an event or meeting programme whether this is an hour or a full day.
With the Olympics recently staged in London this special team event, Alternative Olympics, has been set up to provide the "Olympic experience" at a hotel or green field venue or in the office environment. The objective is for each team to gain as much Gold as they can for winning different types of races either in their team against the clock or against the other teams.
We will design a clue trail in and around the city, town or facilities and grounds of the selected venue. The trail would consist of a number of questions, the answers to which can be found within the designated area.
Human Table Football
Now established as one of Re-energize’s most popular and entertaining events. Human Table Football is played either as a Round Robin Tournament as part of a multi-activity event, It’s a Knockout, Fun Day, Charity event or simply on its own as a fun activity.
It's a Knockout
This event is a fun-filled series of activities involving plenty of excitement and lots of hilarity! With participants clambering over, under and through obstacles, this event is a classic! When practised as a team event, teamwork is essential.
School Sports Day
A traditional ‘School Sports Day’. Races will include a selection of classics, including ‘Egg and Spoon Race’, ‘Sack Race’, ‘Obstacle Race’, ‘Three Legged Race’, Frog Race, Hoopla, Wheelbarrow and various relay races and Tug O War!
The teams design a "paper" sculpture perhaps based around a particular conference theme or the company logo - perhaps linked to a charity! The sculptures are produced using recycled paper which has been pressed into rods and are extremely strong. The rods are joined together using plastic ties and spacers.
The Spiffy (or smart) event provides a range of fun logic and brain teaser tasks laid out within the indoor area or room. The event is fun and geared towards stimulating groups of individuals during or after a meeting or conference for one or more sessions or as a short evening entertainment.
Spy Hunt Challenge
Spy Hunt is an interactive team challenge inviting individuals to work together to complete different mission as effectively as possible. The game has been specifically designed to deliver a cost-effective event and can handle small or larger groups.
The team exercises are not only a fun activity on their own or within a conference or meeting but also a good element to place in the multi activity because not only are they fun but also encourage a team to plan, communicate and work together.
Thinking Outside the Box
Thinking outside the Box’ is a game format which seeks to get teams working outside of standard procedures and competitive traits. The event encourages better communication, better planning and team work in a testing and eventually competitive format but importantly also encouraging mutual team co-operation.
ProCook try T'n'T
Based at the character Hatherley Manor Hotel, forty ProCook Managers and staff undertook an indoor Training and Teamwork session entitled "how to work in small teams". The training, run by Paul Harraway, initially asked individuals to fill in a short DISC questionnaire to ascertain their "team" personality. Paul went through; "the individual in a team" and "working as a team". The Re-energize team supported the theory with energizers to get the teams communicating and working together plus longer, more involved exercises improving their planning and communication. The event finished with Paul outlining the DISC profiling and how to be effective when working in small teams.
Alder King clued in
As part of their 100 year anniversary celebrations Alder King asked Re-energize to provide a team event at Tortworth Court, Bristol. After considering several options a clue trail was selected to enable all 130 Partners and Staff to be involved. A clue trail with a difference though, involving not only clues within the hotel and grounds, but sections involving all the team in logic tasks and team exercises including Spider's Web, Grid & Shelves and Pyramid. The teams had to tackle the tasks as quickly as they could to earn maximum points within the 2 hours time limit. After the event Beccy Bell commented "Just a quick note to thank you and all of your team for a great event on Friday afternoon. Everyone enjoyed it immensely."
Aster Group in soccer play off
The head office team from Aster enjoyed a Human Table Football tournament in the grounds of the Marsh Farm Hotel near Swindon. The 6 teams went head to head, almost literally, in a round robin tournment with the girls enjoying the competition as much as the chaps! The large HTF unit is unique to Re-energize and able to field 7-a-side and so handle a good sized group within the allocated 2 hour session.
